Forum Login Issues
When I log in to the forum, I often get an invalid form submission message. Other times I get in, but when I try to reply to a post I find I've been kicked out and have to log in again. This often happens 5 or 6 times in a single session and is very frustrating.
I know it's not a fat finger problem because I use a password manager that fills in my username and password exactly the same every time. Entering the info manually gives the same result.
This happened just now when I tried to post this message.
Is anyone else seeing this?
What can be done to fix it?

Never have seen that here. What OS and browser are you using?

Is it possible you might be using an anti-virus or anti-malware application that automatically "cleans" any detected tracking cookies? Just a shot in the dark...no pun intended.
But I believe the forum software requires a specific cookie to be set so that the login can be remembered for a certain number of days. If an application like McAfee LiveSafe or some other is heuristically watching for and clearing the cookie, that might explain why it's happening in different web browsers and at seemingly odd times. Most of the anti-malware apps have a way to exclude or whitelist a site from those sorts of operations. Might at least be worth looking into.
Otherwise, I got nothin'...

I got it fixed, and it apparently was some kind of a cookie issue. I have my browser set to delete history and cookies every time it closes, except for those marked as keepers. I went in and manually deleted everything and that seems to have cured the problem.
Thanks for the help!

I haven't been able to even connect to the forum in several days, or longer. Yesterday it would sit there for 5 minutes and then say "Bad Gateway Error."
Hate to say it, but this mess is going to kill the forum if it's not cleared up; it's been going on too long.

Re: Forum Login Issues
It's hit or miss for me as well and really no rhyme or reason why I can get online. Sometimes I'm online writing a post and when I hit submit it spins and spins and then an error comes up, but there are times when it never does anything but spin.

Same here. I get in maybe 10% of the time. The rest of the time, it either times out or gives me "Bad Gateway".

Re: Forum Login Issues
There’s been an improvement in accessing the site for a while now, but now I’ve got another problem. I use NordVPN for all of my connected devices, and I’m using a Dallas IP address nearly all the time. A while back, I experimented several times by choosing Los Angeles and NYC IP addresses. With those IPs, the board gives me a message that I’ve been permanently banned from the board. If I then reset my IP to a Dallas IP address, it would let me log in.
Now there's a different issue. If I log in using a Dallas IP address today, I get the same message about being permanently banned as if I were on an LA or NYC IP address. So to get logged in, I have to actually disable my VPN entirely, or I can’t access the site. For obvious reasons, I’d rather not have to do that.
I know it’s not a basic issue with the board software, because I can log in to my forum.texas3006.com account with my VPN active, without any problems. So it seems like it HAS to be an issue with the board settings on this website.
Does anybody have any ideas?

Re: Forum Login Issues
I'm staying logged in again after a long period of shutting me out each time. No VPN.
Re: Forum Login Issues
We were having issues with fake accounts and spammers using VPN’s to log in awhile back, so there were sets of IP’s that got blocked. Not sure about the Dallas IP range, but you might see if you can get your VPN to do a pass-through of your real IP for this site.

Re: Forum Login Issues
There hasn't been a new forum member in 3 1/2 years. What's up with that? I have a hard time believing no one has attempted to join the forum since Feb 2021.
