The following bills were reported favorably from the House Law Enforcement Committee:
HB 225 - 5 year renewal
HB 318 - CHL confidentiality
HB 322 - CHL changes for military
We now have supportive votes from two "?" new Representatives - Jackson (R) and Veasey (D).
All bills had committee substitutes, including HB322 dealing with an extended expiration date for military folks out of the country. This was removed from the committee substitute, so the NICS exemption is safe.
Good going guys, now let's get it through the Calendars Committee. Thanks also to TSRA's Alice Tripp - good work.
Chas.
