AA #5
Just for poops and grins, I tried some 44 special with AA 5 the other day and find I prefer it over the W231. Never thought I would ever say that. Wanna say 6.8 grains behind the 246gr RN bullet. Gotta go to the range and chrono this round and check for accuracy but in the back yard, hits the ol stump at 30yds most every time.
Re: AA #5
I like it for my .45ACP loads and moderate .357 loads. It meters well and burns fine as long as you're in the middle-of-the-road or above pressure/power ranges. For min loads, it leaves a lot of residue, i.e. 148gr LWC .38 Special.
