Anyone tried it?
I've made 38 special and 357 mag rat shot that works very well, and have even made some 45acp rat shot from cut down 308/243 brass with a special forming die set from RCBS.
But heck, I'm setting here in my shop, I open the door to the other part of the building that is mostly storage and notice a couple of mice scampering around. I thought I had some 22 rat shot that I BOUGHT a long time back, but the package was empty....DontCha hate that..!!!
Problem is, if I could even find any in this crazy time we are in, they would be sooooo high for a box of 10 or so...!! ( I've got about 20,000 or so 22 lr's in the 550 box )
Somewhere in the vast library of the INTERNET, I saw an article where someone took a 22 long rifle shell and pulled the bullet and replaced it with a small over powder card and filled it with #9 or #12 shot and crimped it with an over shot card ( made of thin cardboard) and they said it worked.....But I have NOT been able to find the article..!!!
( Basically, thats how I make the 38 rat shot shells with from #4 to #9 shot. #4's hit HARD )
Time is not a problem for me...I like working on strange stuff as long as I keep all my fingers and eyes ok....!!!!!

Anyone got any ideas that have tried anything like this??
( I know it's a little crazy...But what isn't? growing flowers? )
I'll get it sorted out eventually, they just cost too much for 10 - 22 rat shot shells....was about $1.00 each...!!!!! ( WOW)
