Buying reloaded .45 ACP

#1

Post by asleepatthereel »

Does anyone know where I can buy reloaded .45 ACP? I just need to get my stockpile for target shooting back up. I dont want reloads for carry, so FMJ would be good enough for me. The Friendswood range sells them, but I dont think they are very good rounds as they are real dirty and the cases just dont look right to me. Ive had several of them fail to feed/fire. Looking at the prices, I think I will start picking up my brass from now on, even though I dont really want to get into reloading myself due to too many other hobbies (according to my wife...). If any of yall want to sell or reload some for me, let me know. Thanks :txflag:

By "the Friendswood range", do you mean the one on FM 2351?

I've seen it for sale at the Pasadena gun shows, but it's not substantially cheaper than OEM ammo at Academy.

It is not reloaded but if you go to Wideners.com you can find Blazer aluminum for about as cheap as I have seen .45ACP around lately. I just bought a case for $237/delivered....no tax. Service was good and delivery within about 5 days by UPS.

Hope that helps.

OOPS! I failed to mention that the $237 was for 1000 rounds delivered. New aluminum cased ammo, not reloaded. I have shot may 1000's of rounds and it has been flawless.

SouthWest ammo supply in Mesquite, TX has lots of reloaded ammo as well as reloading supplies, they frequent the gun shows in DFW.

I've gotten good prices and excellent quality from them.

Thanks. Ill look them up when I get home. The ITS dept here at work blocks every website that has a gun related name. :mad5
and I left the laptop home.
