reloading supplies
Where is a good place for reloading supplies in the Houston/Katy area? Bass Pro Shops? Looking for reasonable prices on powder, primers and such.

Re: reloading supplies
Bass Pro Katy Mills dropped their reloading section last year but I did notice a couple of months ago they had a small selection of powder on the shelf. Since you are in Katy I would check out American Shooting Center. They carry a lot of Hodgdon, IMR and Alliant powders and usually have winchester primers in stock. You next closest store to Katy is Carter's on I-10 but with the construction I had rather drive to Carter's in Missouri City.
I don't think any prices are reasonable now. I just paid $218 for a case of 45 acp Precision bullets that cost me $148 last July.

Thank you, I'm a member out at ASC but never really checked out their store. I'll have to open my eyes next time I'm there.

You should also check out Ten Ring Supply in Cypress. At times they have some deals to offer. Call or visit their website www.10ring.com.

+1000 for 10-ring. They are cheaper than any big box retail store and have a much better selection!
Re: reloading supplies
Man, I pass by that place very day to/from work. It's literally 1/2mi from my dad's house, but I've never stopped at it. I stopped by yesterday (After reading your post, actually) to get some reloading stuff, and the girl there gave me a TON of free manuals and reloading data... Very nice!sbb wrote:You should also check out Ten Ring Supply in Cypress. At times they have some deals to offer. Call or visit their website http://www.10ring.com.

Thanks I'll give Gander Mtn a try, would rather travel towards 59 on 99 than I-10 to Carter's Country.

Re: reloading supplies
The one on 290 and 1960 does, but it's VERY expensive. Probably 15-20% more expensive than Carter's Country on I10.striker55 wrote:Anyone know if Gander Mtn sells bullets for reloading?

Re: reloading supplies
I've been buying primers and powder at Bailey's as they seem to be the only ones who stock the particular powder and primers that I use.

Gander Mountain has good prices on snowmobiles and musky/pike fishing gear .
