155 gr the most accurate 9's we ever casted in carbines and handguns both, consistent 1 hole groups in my 8" AR 9mm at 25 yds just with EOT dot not scope, WST powder. They shoot much better than factory. Several handguns also gave the same results.

Just asking, because I am too lazy to do my own research, do powder coated bullets, leave behind any residue in the barrel, that would be detrimental to accuracy, or cause any excessive wear?

I melted the wax lube off 100 commercial .44 bullets, then powdercoated them (Eastwood "Silver Vein" - black with silver patches) - this will be the next test through my Automag before ordering a mold.

Them's purty boolits. I know the bad guys would be pleased to be taken down by such beautiful projectiles. Maybe it would make their day, :biggrinjester:

The ammo worked 100% through the pistol - 7 rounds as fast as I could hit the steel at 10 yards:

Slo-mo:

Bullets sized to .430" - no leading I can see after 40 rounds.

Donnie Miculek (Jerry's little brother) probably should get some credit for starting this with his green coated bullets ... starting years ago. Bayou Bullets.. he coated them green.. He sold the company to specialize in just the coatings.. "Hi-Tek" I think.. the trick is do not scratch the coating off. When sized correctly, coated bullets are smokeless. These in the picture are not coated very well, lead is still showing everywhere.. they will still smoke ... a lot.
