That unmistakable sound

I know your out there. Maybe you will read this.

There we were sitting in the dark Cinemark Tinseltown theater (not AMC of course ;-) ) settling in to watch a movie. It was quiet and there we a few others in the isles down front settling in when I heard the unmistakable sound of a 2.75 lb steel chunk of metal hitting the concrete floor. It wasn't a cell phone or a set of car keys I assure you. It sounded like a fully loaded 1911 or nice metal framed revolver with hard grips hitting the concrete.

My question to you is: As a fellow CHL card carrying Cinemark theater patron, do yo think they would mind it if we played with our laser sights on the big screen before the movie starts? :biggrinjester:

I know that it may be customary to shuffle those big pieces around to a comfortable spot when settling in for a long movie but please be careful out there and keep those shootin irons properly stowed. It would have been pretty ugly had it gone bang on the concrete.

Funny thing.... a few months back before I was CHL and carrying I probably would have never noticed it.

Even if moved around a bit for comfort, it should not fall out of a proper holster.
You should be able to sit, stand, run, do a few jumping jacks....and your holster still retain your
pistola. Maybe the guy behind you was actually "playing" with his gun..... I won't even try to
describe how stoooopid that would be.....and he dropped it.

Maybe it wasn't a CHLer, but gangsta thuglet, whose Plexico carry worked out similarly, just without the ND?

It wasn't me. I was at a Cinemark this weekend and I was carrying an HK .40 USP IWB. It did not fall out even though I changed positions multiple times before comfortably falling asleep! (it was the wife's turn to pick)

Let's hope nobody caught on to the unmistakable sound of a metal slide clanging on a hollow metal door jamb at the Taco Cabana yesterday. I'm sure everyone wondered why a watch or cell phone would make such a loud noise, but it didn't look like anyone suspected anything.

Didn't hurt the slide but it tore my shirt. I had to walk around through the restaurant with my hand in my pocket to cover the possible exposed sights...
