Dropped rig

I promised my fiance I would not post this
During her Wally Walk (no photos) the tie string in her shorts broke, with the weight of her PT111 on one side
and spare mag and her cell phone on the other her shorts hit her knees before she could grab them.
To her total embarrassment there where about 10 people next to her.
The best part of the whole ordeal was this little granny who I swear was 150 if not older, looked at her and says
"Nice gun dearie, i wish I could carry something that big." Needless to say the group busted out laughing.
2 lessons
1 - Never trust a tie string in your shorts to hold you gun up
2 - Living in the country has its advantages, everyone carries, even granny

It appears someone else adheres to gun fashion according to
Plaxico Burress (who Mexican-carried his Glock .40 in his sweat pants,
the gun fell down, he tried to grab it, and got a case of Glockleg).
Glad no one got hurt and embarassment will lead to a better rig!

She was using nothing but a string to hold it all together? Wish I could have seen that. Sound hilarious.

I hate that I missed that episode, as well. I have a couple of pairs of shorts with the drawstring, but don't even trust it to keep the shorts up, let alone a gun and cell phone!
That does sound like something that could happen to me, however!

I have lots of shorts with draw strings but I wear the old fanny pack when I go out and about in shorts. Nice thing about the fanny pack is that if the draw string breaks the fanny pack will hold up the shorts, LOL.

The guy who owns the shop where I took my class made a very amusing reply when I mentioned how many people in the class were "older". He basically said "You really didn't think all those seniors at the malls were carrying extra cookies in those fanny packs, did you?"
okay, I found it funny anyway.
If it isn't beltman, see this guy:
http://www.leathergoodsconnection.com/ He did some fabulous work on making my ranger belt that I wear with the khakis at work. It holds up the 1911 pretty nicely.
