some of my interesting stories.

theses stories are not meant to brag in any means
just some stories that if i had to relive them i would definitely do them differently

a little about myself first:
i am 24 years old
a college graduate
not a gang banger in any way
never been arrested
i am currently in the waiting room waiting for my plastic (eta 2 months or so)

first story:
i had just bought a new car that was maybe a month or so old in 2006. it was around 2am on a freeway around downtown and this jeep zooms by me on the driver side and cuts me off and ends up in the lane on the passenger side. so im like whats this guys problem. we are the only 2 cars on the freeway and this the jeep hits my rear passenger panel so i slow down and the jeep is on my tail and hits my back bumper then makes a quick exit off the freeway. i wasnt going to let this guy make me his victim so i make the exit and quickly follow him pull out my xd9 rack the slide and fire several shots out the window. the jeep stops somewhere on the feeder and me maybe 10 feet behind. i sat behind him freaked out and scared i wasnt sure how many rounds were left in my 15rd magazine. the jeep makes a sharp right turn i thought he was making a u-turn and coming directly at me head on but turns into a nearby parking lot for cover. i call 911 and tell them of the car and me fearing my life they told me to call the local police department since i was not longer in danger (i took off not knowing what the guys intentions were). when i got home i checked my magazine and i fired 7-8 rounds. if i had to relive that again i would definitely have avoided him when he first cut me off and avoid his road rage or drunken stupor whichever he was in.

second story:
this was maybe a month after the the previous incident. i was at a karaoke bar with my brother when some guy called my brother outside to talk. at first he was relucatant to go but then decided to go outside to talk to this guy. i followed my brother outside and the guy opens fire everyone ducks but me! i make a mad dash towards my car to the right of the entrance. the guy sees me running and points at me and i felt like someone threw a rock at my knee. i take cover behind a wall and this is when i assume he is out of bullets and takes off. my brother calls me to come back but i cant walk so i hop back inside. they took me to the emergency room where they tend to my gunshot wound. they see me bleeding in another spot and ask if i was shot more than once i said i dont think so. they cut off my rock and republic jeans :cryin and see that i had another gsw in my thigh. since then ive had 2 procedures done to fix my leg, the bullets are still in there because it would have been more dangerous to cut through my muscle and try to get it out. i feel like i have recovered 90% since that day. everyone told me i should have ducked when he started firing but i might have taken one in the head if i did since i got shot in the leg. if this were to happen again i would stay inside and not let my brother go out there either.

First story...

1. You shouldn't have fired at a fleeing vehicle. Period.

2. You should have gotten their license # when they stopped on the access road, and then left the scene immediately. You could have phoned in the vehicle description and license# after you were out of danger.

Second story...

1. Your brother should have never followed the other guy outside. He should have asked the bartender to call the police instead. Plus, he should have never gotten into a verbal confrontation with another drunk in the first place.

2. Well... see #1.

Roff, I'm glad you're alive, but you might want to consider making a few lifestyle changes - maybe getting to bed a little earlier, and church ice cream socials instead of karaoke bars?

it was fight or flight situation. i have been "hit and run" before, that night i decided to be in "fight" mode. i did get the license plate number and to this day i still remember it. DBX _ _ _. after i got home i realized i should have done things differently and i would never do that again.

the "bartender/waitress" was my brothers gf and everyone was too freaked out to know what to do at the time
i dont think the police/ambulance was called until afterwards
and i do not frequent those types of "bars" anymore

1. you should have take the license number and leave. It's definitely NOT a fight or flight situation. Remember, the other guy/girl can write down your license number and find out where you live and go to your home and do more harm.

Never ever get involved in road rage type thing. Break off as soon as you can.

2. this story is a little muddy. personally, i would never go out to talk to another hostile guy/girl or let my relative go out. You knew perfectly well what would happen when someone says "let's go outside and sort it out."

Don't ever let your macho get the best of you.

my car was new and it still had paper plates on it (i know this doesnt justify it though)
the guy who called my bro outside to talk didnt exchange any words with him
me and my bro were sitting at the bar area and the guy was standing at the doorway waving my bro to come outside

Uhhh? You did what? This was when...2006...two years ago?

Sorry if it sounds like I'm bustin' your chops but, dude! I sure hope you've matured in the last two years.
Not sure why the XD was fired but based on what you said, if one of your bullets had connected to the driver or passenger or a third party bystander, I don't think there is any way you would not have been convicted of at the very least manslaughter in the event of a death. Your home could have very easily been the Gray Bar Hotel.

As for the bar story, well...my dad always told me that not much good happens in those places or after midnight. I can't say I didn't have to learn it on my own at times, but he was/is right. I look back at my twenties and realized that at times I was lucky to have survived...not neccesarily the situations I found myself in but my own stupidity. Sounds like you're having similar revelations. It's God given and called a conscience...listen to it.

I hope to God above that this is a troll.

I cannot believe that you have a CHL if this is true.

No one else will say it, but I will.

You are a moron. Nothing you have done shows any respect for the law, or any ability to discern right from wrong. Your actions and thought processes weaken the chances of maintaining an intact second ammendment. People like you will be plastered on every news program as a reason to limit gun ownership.

I hope you made these stories up. If not, where do you live... cause I want to stay away from there. :nono:

Some people have no business carrying guns. What were you hoping to see as a response to your post?

I'm not convinced that you've learned from your mistakes and I will not feel safer when you get your plastic. Sounds like you still have a lot of growing up to do.

Many of us have interesting stories, fortunately most of them don't involve such mindless behavior.

:iagree:
I am in complete agreement. This person has absolutley no control and should be in prison if what he says is true! You followed and fired at a fleeing vehicle? What if the driver was having a heart attack of another medical problem? Guess how I know about erattic operation of a motor vehicle while having a heart attack?

Whether these stories have even a thread of truth or not, which I highly doubt, you should not be allowed to possess a firearm based on your current level of maturity or lack thereof. What you claim to have done is incredibly irresponsible and criminal. If these stories are made up, as is most certainly the case, posting them here and pretending to be cool is almost as irresponsible as the purported acts. :mad5
