Had something similar. I was driving home one night when Mom called. She lives in another state and i needed to talk to her. So being a good driver I pull over in to a Kroger parking lot and proceed to talk to her. I must confess it wasn't a good conversation and I let my guard down. I saw a guy parked across three spots about half way across the light that was standing beside his car. He looked strange but I ignored him and let my guard down. About 10 minutes later this guy drives his car up to mine and I am thinking what on no he wants money yada yada. Well he jumps out of his car and starts trying to open my door. Yelling at me that who are you and why are you following me.74novaman wrote:A similar situation was why I got my CHL in the first place. A person apparently believed I had cut him off. So he whips in front of me, then stops his car. Due to traffic and curbs, I had no where to go. The guy gets out, walks up to my car, actually tries to open my car door (which locks automatically when you you put the car in drive) and tells me to get out. (I'm assuming so he can beat the crap out of me). I say no, and start contemplating running him over. He gets back into his truck and drives off.
I didn't say anything I just put it in drive and tried to pull away. Well this obviously made him mad and he jumped in his car and blocked my exit. Well this didn't sit well with me and my stupid adrenalin kicked in so the chase was on. I used to have a bumper sticker that said "I don't drive fast I fly low!" Well I lost him in short order but only by doing some stupid maneouvers very quickly in the parking lot and jumping in and out on the street. When it was all over I thought what an idiot I was for putting others at risk with my driving. Thankfully it was late at night. Now I have learned to trust my instincts and don't ignore them.
