a 2000 f150, yeas i have a key fob and i didnt notice they were gone until this morning when i got home.


im just gonna fork out and get another g27 it was my favorite, i just added nightsights not too long ago. they took that along with my galco iwb leather holster. i never shot my 22 much, it just me off i been down all day about it makes me feel violated. and i ALWAYS lock my truck yes its a keyless entry remote and i live in a decent neighborhood so i know more than likely it happend at the restraunt than in my driveway. but im just hoping someone is dumb enough to pawn them.

if anyone you know is tryin to sell some guns and ur in the mckinney area PLEASE check the srnumbers for me. ill give you some decent cash and a case of beer.

the mckinney cops said that theyve had a lot of break in lately so hopfully if they catch the BG he will have it on him.

Might it be a good idea to contact as many pawn shops and gun stores to let them know to watch for them? And what about claiming this on your auto insurance to get them replaced?

Well, Big Tony's definitely has a liquor license, and I've seen 51% licenses in places I wouldn't have expected alcohol to be the primary seller.

Homeowner/renter's insurance?

All of my guns/optics/high value items are insured through USAA. Having all of that, plus the fiance's rock, it costs me about $13/month on top of my car insurance. I also have a $2K miscellaneous jewelry rider that covers any jewelry, that isn't specifically listed.

Might check into something similar with your carrier. I didn't used to carry as much coverage but after taking umpteen billion burglary reports, short of living in a bunker, it can pretty much happen to anyone.

I agree with having ample insurance coverage. Hopefully the OP is an NRA member and opted for the additional no cost ArmsCare coverage ($2500 now).

Aaahhhh. The OP only stated that his truck was parked in front of Big Tony's. I had no idea until now what Big Tony's is; and there was still the possibility that he was parked there, but not inside.

I am sorry to hear about your loss. I am afraid to leave anything in my truck because theft is so bad in my area. A friend of mine had his GMC Yukon broken into not long ago. The thief used some sort of a tool to punch the lock out on the drivers door. They did it so cleanly, that my friend did not even notice. He always uses his fob to lock and unlock and just drove away without noticing the damage. Turns out the thief stole his cell phone and a laptop. My buddy thought he had lost his phone somewhere else and did not notice the laptop being gone. Good news is that the cops caught the thief breaking into another car a couple of nights later and recovered everything. My buddy was very surprised when the police called him and told him they had his laptop and phone, which he did not know were stolen! I hope you are as lucky!

My father has a 2001 f150 and it was broken into at the gym. He didn't notice until he got home and saw all the coins and his pocket knife were gone.

He called the sheriffs dept and they came out to take a report. He told the deputy that he couldn't figure out how they got in and she showed him. She put her pinkey finger on the keyhole place and pushed in about 1 inch... and pop, door is unlocked. All they do is put a screwdriver in re keyhole and hammer it in.

His jaw dropped. I didn't believe it myself unil he showed me later that day and I tried it.

He lost a few dollars in change and a two dollar knife. Insurance covered the $80 lock replacement.

My view on vehicles, and it's because of what I drive (Jeep Wrangler), don't leave anything in there worthy of taking. If someone wants it bad enough, they'll find a way in. I've got a hard top and "real" (as in metal) doors with hard windows, even still, I'm sure it's easy enough to break in to. During the late spring, summer and early fall months the hard top and doors are off, so I make sure nothing important is left in there.

Big Tony's is not a 51% location; they have a Food and Beverage license. However, not speaking for the OP, but maybe he was with a friend and was NOT planning on being the designated driver when they left, if you catch my drift.

yeah big tonys is not posted 51% and i was out for a good time, me and the wifey got into a fight so i figured id go do some karaoke up there along with some well rum. i was definately planned on getting drunk thats why i left everything in the truck, my friend only had a few beers. the cop said that it sounds like my friend stole them since he drove me home, i hate to think that cause we have been friends for a long time one of the few people that i invite over and dont have to worry about leaving my wallet on the kitchen counter. i known him for about 2 years and we hang out at least a few times a week. the cop asked who i was with and he went to his house to ask him what all he remembered. he even let the cop come inside and take a look around the house for the guns. i hate to blame people withoutknowing for sure. idk frustrating. now i dont have a carry weapon, i wish they would have taken my g22 instead of my 27
