I can't link to it cause there would be the same problem if you are not a facebook member. I could copy the whole thing and paste it hear, I'm sure Erik's dad won't mind, but I know there are rules about not doing that.

So not sure how to let everyone see it.

Erik's dad's writes for Erik as if he could still communicate with us and tells us what happened from his point of view. I'm sure a lot of this comes from detailed statements from Erik's girlfriend.

Some of the points made by Erik written by his dad.

1. Didn't destroy any merchandise and was actually helped by Costco staff to retrieve merchandise that was out of reach. Items that were opened were put in his cart for purchase, he needed two carts and was retrieving the second one when the evacuation order was given.

2. Never met the security guard who phoned 911 and pointed him out to the police. Apparently this guy lied big time according to Erik. Erik never said he was a green beret, said he was a former army officer. (green beret is a Hollywood name, a former army officer would say "ranger" instead but he said neither)

3. Answered and typed 7 emails on his blackberry while he was in the store. One just moments before his death. He was holding the blackberry in his RIGHT hand when he was shot. (this was confirmed by at least one witness besides the girlfriend) He was not aware that anyone at Costco was unhappy with him as no one had asked him to leave and the person who objected to his concealed handgun, seemed to him to accept his statements that he was licensed to carry it and there were no signs or nothing in the contract he had just signed saying concealed carry was not allowed in the store.

4. He was under the canopy with seventy other people as he exited, it was very noisy, and the officer that shot him started yelling at someone from behind him. He turned to see what was going on and was confronted with the officers 45 pointed at him. He had been trained at his CHL to say he was armed and to say he had a CHL. Which he did. The officer ordered him to get on the ground but within two seconds the first shot was fired.

5. He never touched his gun or his holster. His strong hand was holding the blackberry in the air. He was only carrying one gun, the Kimber on his right side. His billfold was near one of the wounds and evidence was tampered with in his billfold. I was n't sure where this was going but apparently there was an attempt to clean up his billfold but the CHL card is paper and it was stained with his blood that they could not remove.

6. Lots of drugs were pumped into him on the way to the hospital, even though he was mortally wounded. A police officer road in the back of the ambulance with Erik on the way to the hospital.

More is coming from Erik in the future.

The Special Forces were an offshoot of the Army Rangers and the OSS after WWII. The 75th Ranger Regiment is currently serving in the Special Forces. Recruits for Delta Force come from both Special Forces and the 75th Ranger Regiment.

The Scott family has filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against the LVMPD and Costco.
