She was obviously more concerned with the camera than where the gun was pointing.

I watched again and can't figure out why you said that.
With the way she was waving that gun around , he had every responsibility and duty to step in and correct her.

I don't think he did it in a mean or condescending way.

Think about the others whom you know who talk with their hands. The next time that you see these "hand talkers" waving their hands around while talking, imagine a loaded gun in their hands. That's what we saw in the video.

I thought he was pretty darned nice about it too. I've seen stuff like this start to happen on a range before. I happen to think that firearms instructors are some brave individuals and I appreciate them risking their lives to teach newbies!

The solution to her natural instinct to turn toward the camera would be to film from the other side. Since she's right handed, she could face the camera while keeping the gun at port arms, pointed downrange.

Of course, the lighting would change, might not work for the videographer.
