I bought a replacement value policy specifically for my firearms, so the agent and company have the serial numbers.

Is a spreadsheet with serial numbers really sensitive personal documents?

Ruger X54390010 395

My inventory spread sheets look like this.

Great advice, sure would want the police report to include the serial number being a person who has frequented Strokers in the past I wonder if she ever saw the 51% sign? It is located way above the front door (which nobody uses). I walked in there, motorcycle parked out back and just happened to see it on my way to the men's room, kind of chuckled at the location of it.

Sentry makes a waterproof safe and it is fairly inexpensive. Kimberly and I invested in one after Ike. My office received a few of these following Ike and they did their job....not a drop of water in them after weeks in a yard or house.

Sam's and Target have them available.

We also rented a safety deposit box in East Texas to keep a copy of everything off of the coast :thumbs2: The bank sits up VERY high.

Two comments:
1) My backups are on flash drives and CD's which are with me when out of town. But when I am in town out shopping, etc., they are in a drawer by my chair. Hmmmm! Could burn up along with the computers.
2) My safety deposit box at the bank is in the lowest row on the first floor 100 yards from Braes Bayou. Hmmmm! Could easily flood.
