Hunting at Lance Rosier Unit, Big Thicket.

Has anyone here hunted at the Lance Rosier Unit of the Big Thicket Natural Preserve? I got my park permit there the other day (found it by accident, but was glad I did.) It's over 23,000 acres. That being said, while there is a ton of room for animals, like squirrels, rabbits, waterfowl, hogs, and deer (all of which are legal on that unit), that also means that there is tons of ground to cover, especially for one person.

Has anyone here hunted small game there? Or could anyone give me any tips on what to look for to find out where the squirrels hide out, and maybe the rabbits too?

I've never hunted public land, but here's a site from the NPS about Big Thicket hunting.

I appreciate the thought. But I already looked at that. It's no help. That is why I decided to come to the forum. Even if it's just tips on what to look for/how to identify their hides, etc. Specifically for squirrels, but I'm open to rabbits too.
