Will the threads match, or will the barrel or frame have to be rethreaded?

Andy, I totally get the "just because I can" reason but is there some other reason for doing this?
Thanks

I am wondering if the value of that barrel will be much better as is. Pythons are commanding some pretty high prices these days and it looks to be going higher.
I suppose if one can put Chevy engines in Ford Body's, why not with guns?

Seen one today at a Pawn Shop that was about 80% at best for $1,500.00.

Keeping it .357 Magnum, or going .357 Bain & Davis as per the write-up in Guns & Ammo magazine in the early 1970's?

I'm just guessing here, but I wonder if the barrel could be sleeved with a sleeve that was threaded inside and out, then pinned into the frame.

Why? You don't trust an attorney playing amateur design engineer/gunsmith?
