I have it on good authority that gittin' old beats the alternative.KHickam wrote:Went out and shot about 100 rds of 230 gr FMJ out of my M&P45 - I have always loved the gun and shot it well - But, today after about 50 rds the gun started to hurt my wrist - still kept the rounds where I needed them but it was not a pleasant shooting session today.

It's not the .45 230 Gr that is the problem, it's all that plastic that doesn't tame the recoil.KHickam wrote:Went out and shot about 100 rds of 230 gr FMJ out of my M&P45 - I have always loved the gun and shot it well - But, today after about 50 rds the gun started to hurt my wrist - still kept the rounds where I needed them but it was not a pleasant shooting session today.

Try out a full size, all metal gun like a 1911. Of course, there is also nothing wrong with 9mm.1911 10MM wrote:It's not the .45 230 Gr that is the problem, it's all that plastic that doesn't tame the recoil.KHickam wrote:Went out and shot about 100 rds of 230 gr FMJ out of my M&P45 - I have always loved the gun and shot it well - But, today after about 50 rds the gun started to hurt my wrist - still kept the rounds where I needed them but it was not a pleasant shooting session today.
