OWB help please!

I want to start to carry OWB. I carry IWB just fine but as the months get warmer I want to be more comfortable. The only OWB I have is a Desantis (model name escapes me) and it fits my G19 and also my G26 which is my primary carry gun. If I try and use that specific holster it sticks too far out and rides too low down and makes it difficult to conceal. So my real question is, what is a good holster for OWB for my Glock 26. I really like OWB for several reasons.
1. Faster to get to
2. More comfortable to carry around
3. Don't have to worry about sweating so bad

Also my gun belt is a tuff products ranger cobra belt and is pretty thick and also has the buckle that has to go through the slots so that may be tough finding one that works with that as well.

May or may not work for you, but after buying 5 OWB holsters that did not work for me, (Belt is 1-1/2" Comptac with Internal Stiffener with Velcro so pretty thick)
I've been carrying my G26 in Bianchi 7506 AccuMold Belt Slide Holster
First I wished the straps which snap around the belt were a bit longer to make them easier to snap, but they work and if they were longer it might flop or slide on its own, so ... it worked, after worn a few times.

I'm interested to see some of the responses as well - been looking at getting me an OWB holster for my Walther PPQ - originally I was thinking of one of the Blackhawk Serpa holsters but reconsidering due to the risks of a ND with one. So now I'm uncertain what I want...

I carry a 1911, and I do carry OWB, also. I don't know that there is the perfect holster out there that will fit every scenario. It's an Alien Gear OWB, and I simply have my shirt-tail out...which seems to do the job.

I sometimes wear the Galco M7X Matrix. It snaps over your belt and holds the gun close to the body. It's open on the bottom so it works with the 19 and the 26. They surprisingly have decent retention also.

One thing to note, I have a standard off the shelf Belt Man 1.5" belt and the straps are tight but it's a very stable holster once you get it snapped.

I really like my Galco Fletch. It's a pancake holster and sits pretty tight to my hip. I'm at work so I can't measure the belt openings but I believe they are 1.75". It's a well made, professional looking holster with a thumb strap. I think the thumb strap is essential when open carrying (which I don't do very much of). It goes well with jeans or dress slacks.

I like leather; I have two holster types I use for my glocks, after trying many others (like most of us, lol!).
My favorite, due to ease of putting on/taking off, is the Bianchi Snaplok Snaplok. I also like the retention feature, very natural for me.
The other one I use is the Bianchi Black Widow BlackWidow. This also is a retention holder, via thumbsnap.
Both holsters work well for me; they hold the gun high and tight to my body...YMMV

......but is it a gun belt? Thickness isn't what defines that. Construction is. A proper gun belt which doesn't sag may fix your problems right there without having to buy an additional holster.

That said, my OWB holsters (for various guns) include Bianchi Pancakes, Galco Concealable Belt Holster, Desantis Speed Scabbard, Mitch Rosen 5JR-EXP, etc., etc. ALL of them work well with a proper gun belt. NONE of them work well without a proper gun belt.

There are a lot of good options. I have been using the Comp-tac gladiator for OWB and have been happy with it. Since open carry went into effect, I have gone from almost exclusively carrying IWB to usually carrying OWB. I have found that IWB and OWB are two different beasts so I would offer you two things to consider:

I prefer a holster that keeps the barrel of the gun completely covered. This protects the gun's finish from being bumped or scraped, but more importantly, it prevents things like the arm of an office chair, from dislodging your pistol as you sit down. This was never an issue with IWB but while OWB carry with a fobus holster, I had this happen once. The gun didn't fall, but I did not like the feeling of it popping loose. Only closed end holsters for me.

I really like to be able to remove my holster without taking my belt off. I find a design with snapping loops to be very convenient. They provide a secure hold but when I come home hot and tired and want to plop down on the couch, two quick snaps and the pistol goes on the coffee table.

These are personal preference things but they make my day easier.

Yes it is a gun belt. It's double layers of scuba webbing with kydex insert. It doesn't sag whatsoever

I use a D.M. Bullard, Dual Carry and a Gould & Goodrich, Gold Line Yaqui Slide. Both work great for me. The Dual Carry is what I wear when I won't have to take my weapon off multiple times. Super comfortable and can be worn OWB and IWB. The Yaqui is what I wear when I have to remove my weapon often for various reasons. I can leave the holster on, tuck my shirt in and most people don't even realize what it is. The Yaqui is open and does not cover the slide/barrel, but I've never had a problem with it. It has two retention screws that work a treat. I'm not worried about the finish either. My carry guns are tools and I understand they'll get scuffed. I train with them and they get dropped in the dirt and mud anyways.

Lots of folks that normally carry IWB or that have only carried IWB for years think that when they switch to OWB that the gun sticks out way too much. It does stick out more than IWB, but it doesn't stick out that much more. I and many many others have carried OWB for years and many of us have carried full size Glocks or 1911s OWB and no one was was the wiser.

Now, maybe your current wardrobe choices make that impossible, but there are ways to do it easily. I've carried a Glock 27, 22, and currently a 20 and 21 in Blackhawk CQC level II holsters for many years. Recently I purchased a Safariland 7TS for the 21 with a TLR-1 light mounted and have carried it many times in daytime and night in and around stores and into restaurants. Not one reaction that I'm aware of and no police escorts anywhere.
