Glock like trigger.

Hello,
I was wondering if there is product for the S&W shield, to give it a glock like trigger.
What I mean is when you dry fire a glock the trigger will stay depress, when you dry fire a shield the trigger will move back to the starting position.
When I carry my glock 19, I have a round chambered and I made that a habit but when I get home I like to unload the gun and dry fire it then insert the mag with out racking the slide, and have it close by. and that's how i like to keep it. just a visual indicator to let me know the condition of the gun.
I want the same thing for my shield, I do practice all 4 rules of gun safety, and just want one more indicator to show the condition of the gun.

1) Why not just buy a Glock?
2) Why all the loading and unloading? When you get home and don't want to carry the gun, just remove the holster + gun. When you leave the next day, just put on the holster + gun. No unnecessary loading & unloading.
3) You shouldn't rely on the trigger position to tell you if the gun has an empty chamber. You should only do that if you actually check the chamber.

I knew i was going to get a reply like this. like I said I follow all 4 safety rules when I handle a gun.
I unload the gun when I get home because that's what I'm comfortable with. I remove it from the holster and keep it close by for just in case.
I live alone now so I'm not worried about someone playing with it, and I have only owned a glock 19 for the longest time, so to see a trigger in the forward position when I made it a habit to unload when I get home is weird.
As for buying a glock 43, Its uncomfortable to shot, it has a low capacity mag, and there are better choices. That is why I chose the shield.
I just didn't realize about the trigger until I started carrying it.

Chambering the same round over and over on a daily basis is begging for problems. There are millions of military, cops, feds, and licensed citizens who carry a gun daily and do exactly what was suggested above. Whole pistol+holster assembly comes out, whole assembly goes back on.
When I get home, I remove the holster and keep the gun in it... loaded and chambered. There is absolutely zero reason to unload the thing unless you are shooting it, flying with it, or cleaning it.
What you are doing is actually more dangerous. Handling a loaded and unholstered weapon will eventually lead to problems, no matter how safe you think that you are... you are still human. Let's minimize the chances for NDs and for a catastrophic explosion due to bullet setback by keeping the pistol in the holster and loaded when it is not on your belt. This will have the added benefit of you not having to monkey with the trigger on your Shield. Problem solved!
It really is just that easy.

The better solution would be to fix your mental block over having a loaded gun in a holster that you're not wearing. Apparently you're OK with having a loaded gun holstered on your body, so you realize that the holstered gun isn't just going to go off. It's still not going to go off if it's sitting on your desk or nightstand or something. And since you said that you don't live with anyone else, you don't even have the excuse of some unauthorized person getting access to the gun (not that merely unloading the gun would be sufficient in this instance).
Stop trying to find a equipment solution to a training problem.

How about we agree to disagree on how we handle our firearms,
I also don't use the same round over and over, after a week or two i will take it the range and fire it. haven't had a problem yet. when i got my ar15 and I would chamber a round, then eject it for what ever reason i notice what look like a light primer strike, and that worried me so i looked it up to see if that was normal, in the process discovered, that yes to chamber the same round over and over again can cause it to fail.
So once again I am curious to know, if there is a product that can simulate a glock trigger in a shield

I don't know of any products that will simulate a Glock trigger in a S&W Shield. I do know of many solutions to your underlying issue, and most of those have been posted here, and rejected by you.

Thanks, I have got used to it. I guess I was jumping the gun, and trying to find a solution to problem that didn't exist. And maybe I got defensive about how I Handle my guns, I been doing it that way for almost 9 years no problems. But what I have learned in the gun communitie is that everyone has an expert opinion, on what gun to carry, how to carry, what caliber to carry, so on and so forth. I handle my guns that way cause that how I'm comfortable with them. But I don't think I will ever be truly comfortable with a gun, and that's the way I really like it, I don't want to become complacent

It wouldn't be like a glock trigger but you could buy a double action gun with a decocker. you could have one in the chamber and just pull the trigger when your ready to shoot. A heavy trigger at that.

Kinda makes you wonder why the typical first mod to most any Glock is to improve the trigger

Actually, one the most important things for me in a carry weapon is keeping it stock, that's one on the reasons i decided to give up on modding my s&w shield. The only thing I will change on my guns are the sights.

Unfortunately for you, most of us will agree that what you are doing is more dangerous.
You're comfortable carrying with a round in the chamber, but not at home and you live alone? I just don't get it.
IMHO, keeping the weapon in two different conditions is also a recipe for disaster. All the loading and unloading and pulling of the trigger on a theoretically empty chamber already mentioned and then there might come the day when you need it at home and you grab it forgetting there isn't a round chambered and don't have the time to do so yourself.
Do as you wish, but I hope we never hear about an ND or worse.

No I don't think smith has a glock like trigger for their shields.

You mean that they don't offer a gritty trigger with a lot of creep?
