Stolen Guns in Houston

#1

Post by T3hK1w1 »

Title says it all. I walked into a restaurant (Carl's BBQ in Houston) for lunch after going to the range, and 10 minutes later someone comes in and says my truck's been broken into. If anyone sees the following rifles for sale please contact me on here or call the Harris County (TX) PD. Missing 2 rifles:

Marlin model 444S (presafety) in 444 Marlin with Nitrex 1.5-5 scope, serial# 71 162166

Savage 110 in 30-06 with Bushnell Ultra HD 3-9x40 scope, serial# F730659

That's pretty brazen. That parking is lot is in plain (and plane) view of a lot of passing traffic.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and an eye out for the rifles.

I'll sell them back to you at a discount. :biggrinjester:

Just kidding! (trying to lighten the mood). That's a vacuum cleaner. Big time!

I'm always hoping they steal my truck instead and leave the guns. At least it's insured.

A couple of years ago, a friend of mine went into an ice cream store with this son for 10 minutes, they could see the car from the window. They didn't pay attention and when they came out the back window was smashed and his backpack with $2000 cash (wife runs a small grocery store and it was meant for deposit at the bank) , a glock 19 (I'm not sure why he wasn't carrying) and a hard drive filled with a career's worth of sensitive information was gone.

He suspected someone followed him from his wife's store.

Sometimes I really wish a lawyer would chime in and clear things up. Do we have any lawyers on this forum?

That just sucks! I will keep a look out as well. I frequently peruse the gun sales boards especially for Houston sales. There is just something wrong about stealing a man's horse, his guns or his dog! Just wrong! All ought to be a hanging offense!

Some people just have to learn the hard way I guess.
