UPDATE-recommendation on what to go for glock 27gen4 or the glock 43?

UPDATE-2- good day to every1. my wife is getting me a Glock for our 6yr anniversary :woohoo , I've been telling her that I been wanting the Glock 27 gen 4 for the longest time now but just a few days ago I grabbed the G 43 and really like how it felt in my hands. So now I am debating on which one to get! I have until Friday to choose one. I currently have a Ruger SR40C and love it. luckily I don't have to trade it in :anamatedbanana . I do like both Glocks and how they feel the only thing is that one is a 40cal and the other a 9mm with less capacity but its ok cuz I always carry an extra mag with me. so the only question that I have right now is which one to get. what is you all's take on this? I think I'll let ya'll decide. :evil2: :cheers2:

this will be for everyday carry and to have an extra firearm at the range. as well for home defense if needed but I do plan on using my ruger and it's extended mag for that.

UPDATE- picked up the Glock 27 GEN 4 TODAY (19 Dec 15) at academy for an awesome deal..$398 plus tax.! decided on this G27 gen 4 since I already have a SR40C with extra personal defense rounds available :fire so no need to waste extra money on rounds and plus it will be my new EDC :coolgleamA: unless I decide to use my Ruger for the day. :txflag: just thought I would let you all know! :seeya:

Personally I'd go with the G27, for no other reason than to keep my calibers the same. I don't like having 5 different calibers of a style of gun.

Is it for CC or more going to be for the range with the option to carry ?

For CC I think the G43 would be easier to conceal and carry. The Glock 27 to me would be a better range weapon. Just my .02¢

yeah, actually its for both. I tend to do OWB and always have loose clothing so concealment isn't much of an issue just that I like both guns the problem is that I can only choose one. but you are right the 43 with no doubt will be the best for conceal carry.

If I have the SR40c then I wouldnt think you need a Glock 27 unless I was looking to replace the Ruger. If it were me, I would get the 23 for a full size grip that you can shoot all day. I would look at the 43 only if I were going IWB cary.

G27 all day long. It is about the same size as the 43 save the width...I'm my opinion the extra girth is worth it to get the extra firepower. I think the 43 is a fine weapon but also think that there are single stack 9s with the same capacity which are a bit more 'petite' than the 43 (p938,Kahr pm/cm, etc..)

Depends. How will you carry it? In a man purse? G27 because it holds more ammo. IWB? G43, because it is thinner. Pocket carry? G43. Cargo pants pocket carry? G27.
