Any tips for a trade or sale at the GRB Gun Show this weekend?
My fiance does not care for her Ruger LC9s and wants a Shield 9mm. Any tips for getting the most out of it? I am thinking about picking up a Shield for myself as well, so the seller could be in line to get rid of two at once.

I've gone to a couple of local shows lately and the Shield 9mm has been selling for $350. That's a pretty good price already. If you want the upgraded finish it usual runs about $20 more. I own one myself and have been thinking about picking up a second to keep in the car. My edc one has a nice magazine grip extender, rear slide plate cover and a crimson trace green laser. I love it. Good luck with the search.

Wow, $350 is quite reasonable...I was thinking I would be well in to the $400s. Either way, I wouldn't mind getting rid of this Ruger in a trade value to not take a bath on it. I would keep it for myself, but it isn't quite my bag either. I love the size but didn't care much for shooting it. I think between the two of us, we have MAYBE put 75 rounds through it.

What area are you in? I've found some pretty good prices online too, give me your zip code and I'll see what pops up.

Houston - 77023
I would look it up myself but I am on my work computer while my Macbook is in the shop and I cannot get on gun sites - I am very surprised this site works!

I can't figure out how to change the zip search on the site I use. But in my local area (DFW) the cheapest I'm finding online is $355.

if you want to sell your LC9, you will only get about 1/2 to 2/3 of the value if you sell to a dealer there
if you sell to a private buyer, you could get the real value.
have you tried to post your LC9 on here for sale (I didnt look at your status, and am assuming you are qualified)
Many guns have been bought and sold on here, I have been on both sides many times.

I would hold out for private party sell if you don't need the money now. A dealer is going to give you a very low price since he has to resell it.

Well I made an attempt to any dealer with a 9mm Shield...the offers with trade were $150-$225....the high end $225 offer was conditional upon me purchasing two Shields. Needless to say I held on to the Ruger and will wait for a private sale.
The one thing I did notice, a Shield 9mm with a thumb safety was a rare find. I went ahead and purchased the only one I could find for my fiance, she is happy.
I will post the Ruger on here once I have enough posts under my belt.
Since I didn't get a pistol for myself, I went ahead and picked up a Spikes Tactical AR15 Lower (Punisher Model with paint to the selector and punisher logo)

Oddly, I bought a Shield at the same show in .40 cal.
A good friend of mine has the same gun, it cost him something along the order of $100 for a trigger job, it reduces travel and pull pressure from over 7 to about 5.
