Keep seeing and reading about these. Anyone have any experience with one? What's the best option as far as the clips? Thanks for the input!

I love mine.
I carry a Glock 30sf in one and a Kimber Tac Pro II in the other and both are extremely comfortable. As far as clips go, when I ordered my holster I bought the standard clips, as well as the J clips and steel clips. The J and steel clips just flat out suck, the standard ones aren't too bad but I found the best combination by looking beyond Alien Gear.
I ordered the CompTac 5-hole clips and it makes the adjustability (is that even a word??) second to none.

I have one for my Glock 23. It is the horse hide and kydex, not the newer version. In my opinion, it is good for the price.
I used it all summer, sweated the hell on it, and it stood up.
The thing that I do not like about it is the kydex seems larger (wider) than it needs to be. Because of it, the holster seems not to conform to my hip like my Crossbreed holsters do. The bottom of the Alien Gear flares out.
With that being said, I am planning to get a Crossbreed holster for my 23, but it is not high on my list of purchases right now.

I have two Alien Gears, both versions, I'm happy with both.
