Carry at Nokia Live in Grand Prairie?

I searched and found some old posts but was wondering if anyone has been there recently? Do they still only have the ghostbusters sign or are they now 30.06 compliant?
In one of the older posts it was mentioned about having metal detectors. If the establishment is not 30.06 posted and you carry and get caught by the metal detectors, what can they legally do? I'm sure it would make for an interesting scene, but I'm just wondering what can legally be done?

If the event is not one of those where carrying weapons is prohibited (professional sports, etc.), all they can do is tell you to leave. (IMHO, IANAL, etc.)

Hmmmm, it's a high school graduation ceremony so would that fall under the places not allowed to carry since it is a school sponsored event?

I think so. The law is unclear, and I would hate to be a test case.

Um... Yeah.
PC §46.03. PLACES WEAPONS PROHIBITED. (a) A person commits
an offense if the person intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly possesses
or goes with a firearm, illegal knife, club, or prohibited weapon
listed in Section 46.05(a):
(1) on the physical premises of a school or educational institution,
any grounds or building on which an activity sponsored by a school or
educational institution is being conducted,
etc, etc.
Doesn't matter if the building is posted or not.

I ended up not going that night, but from my past experience they are intolerant of anything weapon-like.
they could give you "verbal" notice, and I feel you would obligated to comply.
it being a High School thing, wouldn't chance it.
let us know if you see any signs, though!

I was at Nokia tonight for a kids "Go, Diego, Go!" showing. I disarmed in the vehicle with the expectation of metal detectors. To my surprise, no searches and no 30.06. Not sure if their policy and tactics change from show to show or not though.

I've been to Nokia for several concerts, all hard rock / metal, and they didnt have metal detectors / perform searches at any of them. Security there is a joke too - now I know what Walmart greeters do at night
As far as them being posted, this was before I got my CHL so I never looked for 30.06 signs.
