It's a Canik 55 Shark-FC. A clone, of a clone if you will. Hard Chrome finish, cold hammer forged ported barrel, chambered in 9x19. it came with 2 15 round Mec-Gar mags, but 19 rounders are available for it(takes CZ75 mags)

I can't wait for my next range day.

Awesome!!! I'd love to surprise hubs with a gun, but I'm pretty sure he'd notice the $$$ missing from my bank account Lol.

You'll have to let us know how you like shooting it.

Can your wife teach my wife how to shop for me?

Nice.... wife & gun!

I have not seen that model but I am mildly familiar with Canik actually. I think they will be a company watch actually. Supposedly high quality production standards as they are 9001 certified and other certifications I can't remember. There is a model sold at Aim surplus I've been wanting to get for a while.

And happy Birthday!!

it's pretty interesting. apparently across the pond the "big deal" is to clone the CZ75, just like we have 209789 manufacturers here that offer 1911 clones. This is more a clone of a clone. the IMI Jericho 941 is a clone of the CZ75, and this is a clone of the Jericho 941F(frame mounted safety), but with an added accessory rail and porting(exclusive to the Shark-FC). Canik also makes the Tristar pistols you can buy at academy. the Desert Tan cerakote'd model has been on sale for a while for a measly $329.

I got lucky enough to get one of the first run of these pistols that offers the hard chrome slide, the newer ones(imported by CAI, not RO.X) are all cerakote.

Father in law has one. It is just a c75 replica. He has the mk model. He loves it. He wanted it to compare to his beretta 92 and he likes the canik better. Not a big surprise being a Cz copied frame. Czs are great and I assume any quailty knockoff will be great.

I finally got to shoot it last week. the double action is just as i expected - horrible, and it shoots a little to the left. I've been carrying it in a remora holster and i'm pretty happy with it. it's a little lighter, even with 18 rounds of 9mm, than my Stoeger Cougar 8045.
