Colt 1991 combat commander

I have been taking a look (on the www only) at captioned 1911. Everything I have read so far has been good. My question is, does Colt still put out a good product as they have done for years? I got my first 1911 a year or so ago (Springer 5in.) but would like to own a commander size 1911 and what I have read about this Colt impresses me.

That's a pretty gun, but I could never carry it. I'd be afraid of putting a scratch on it.

I really don't know if the quality of Colts are the same as in the past, but I believe that they put out a good product.
Many people think that the Colts are over-priced and that you are paying for the name.
Colts have always been priced higher than the competition.
You are paying for the name, but they earned their reputation by making quality product.

correct. This has never been shot since 1975. I have other shooters.
