What would you say....
............ if you were carrying "tucked" and somebody asked about your clip/strap/etc?
I carry with a cover garment 99.9% of the time, but today was a rare occasion that I did not. Here's a photo...
I wasn't at all concerned... but as I was out and about this afternoon I realized that I didn't have a clever retort if anyone asked or "outed" me.
No need to mention different ways of carrying, different clips, etc. I'm just interested in your appropriate responses to a direct inquiry from another person. Maybe it's the cashier at subway, or maybe it's an acquaintance or colleague asking "what's that clip thing on your belt"?
"Pager" is way too 90's, dude.
Extra points for a humorous reply that doesn't lead to further questions.

If I knew them I might tell them what I had. If not none of their business.

I would ask why they are looking so hard down there, smile and move on to next subject.

"It's my medical device."
And if they are still nosy and ask what kind of device: "Thoracic penetrator."

Black clips on a black belt aren't likely to draw attention or notice. In the very unlikely event that someone did notice & ask, just say it's your belt & change the subject.
Opinions expressed are subject to change without notice.

Re: What would you say....
I've been wearing IWB holsters which have two clips over the belt for years and nobody has ever mentioned it. I mostly dressed in slacks and golf shirt in San Diego, rarely a covering jacket.
I might be quick witted enough to say "it's my stash!"
I'm left-handed so my phone on the other side befuddles them maybe.
The vast majority of people aren't that alert, frankly.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

Re: What would you say....
I get stupid questions about the stuff I carry. Usually it's my knife. When someone asks me why I carry a knife, I tell them, "to cut things with." For my flashlight, "so I can see when it's dark." No one's ever asked about my holster clips, but if they did I'd probably say something like, "it's a clip," and if they ask what for, "for clipping things to my belt." (What things? Whatever I want.) If you're feeling nice, smile and make a joke of it. They'll get the hint that you aren't going to answer but probably won't take offense.
I'm a terrible liar (even for perfectly legitimate purposes such as this), so I don't think I'd get away with trying to pass it off as a medical device or whatever else. If I can answer truthfully in a way that doesn't give away the real answer but puts an end to the questioning, that works best for me.

Some of my friends would just ask, why are you carrying there?
