Quick question for you guys on a comfort factor...

So, I will be carrying my Crossbreed Supertuck Deluxe once I have my CHL and I am looking at getting a magazine holder from them as well... if I am already carrying IWB would it be unwise to also get an IWB magazine holder as well? Will that put an annoying amount of pressure on my hips and sides or what? I'm almost inclined to carry an OWB magazine carrier with it.

You will just have to go through doors sideways. ;-)

The most comfortable of the IWB holsters aren't as comfortable as a good OWB I do use IWB holsters, but only OWB mag pouches. I tried an IWB mag pouch and promptly took it off. I love cool weather concealing OWB becomes very easy. :tiphat:

I have a Crossbreed IWB double magazine pouch for 1911 mags that rests in the bottom of the holster drawer we all have. The holster and magazine pouch took up too much real estate on my 40" waist, was difficult to rig on both sides without my pants falling down, and just took too long. Now I wear the IWB holster and carry two mags in a kydex double magazine pouch with the belt clip removed... looks like a wallet in my back pocket... no one has ever asked why I carry two wallets. This setup gives me 25 rounds of .45ACP on board. If you want the Crossbreed IWB double magazine pouch, PM me to arrange pick up if you or over Beaumont way.

I normally carry OWB paddle on the right and an OWB double mag paddle on the left. When I did carry IWB I would usually just slip one spare mag in my left front pocket. It seemed a little counterproductive to carry IWB and then the spare mags OWB.

I second the holster IWB and spare mag in left front pocket (assuming right handed). My IWB is reasonably comfortable since I bought pants one size up and I make sure to have only spare mag in pocket, switching keys to right pocket.

I will definitely PM you if I decide to go with that IWB, but I'm not sure yet. You bring up a good point and I think it would be taking up a lot of room as well.

Left handed :coolgleamA: , but I am going to try out the spare mag in my right pocket, I keep my wallet and keys there but I can make it fit.

Also LH. Wear the IWB at ~11:00 as close to middle as possible with the kydex magazine pouch in right rear pocket. I have tried the single spare magazine route without a pouch and while it works as Andy says, you have to be mindful of lint, pocket trash, etc. getting into the mag. Wanting to have two spare mags and eliminate the mag contamination problem, I went with the stripped kydex double magazine pouch solution. It works for me. My offer of the free Crossbreed IWB double mag pouch stands if you want to try that route.

haha, reading this thread I guess I'm in the minority. I carry my XD at 330 IWB and I carry 2 extra mags at 730 IWB. Foxx holster made both and I have no trouble wearing that setup all day running around town.

Well I truly appreciate that, sir! I may have to give you a six pack for the convienence. :cheers2:
Where did you find that Kydex pouch at? Any particular brands to look at?

The one I used was a BladeTech, but Blackhawk also makes one that will work and there are probably others. The key is to be able to remove the belt slide or paddle to leave a relatively flat surface. The paddle on mine came off by removing some screws. Could always remount the belt slide/paddle if desired. I trust you are carrying a 1911 of some type. The one I'm offering only works for M1911 .45ACP mags.

Darn, unfortunately I missed that part of it, I'm sorry! I am carrying an XD.40 Subcompact.
