Galveston's Taco Cabana...

Real quick...A head's up...Yesterday we were going to visit family down that way and decided to eat somewhere and not impose on them to feed us...echhhh, anyway...

The T.C. on 61st street (on the way to the seawall) has an improperly posted (but properly worded, size was wrong as well) 30.06 sign inside the order line inside the restaurant...

It does have a number to call their PR folks if you have a problem with their idea...

I certainly don't advocate calling them to tell them the sign is improperly posted, but had I known we would have seeked life and entertainment elsewhere...

I'm intending on letting them be...And take my dining elsewhere...

If those who wish to drop by and leave a no-firearms = no bidness card...By all means, I would think thats a good idea...

But I have stated in the past, that their business, and if their intent is to repel those of us who are not the problem...So be it...

Food wasn't that good anyway...Gave me gas...

I'll go along with the "boycot". I feel the same way.

It also seems, from what you stated, the sign was not at the entrance to the building but rather posted inside.

Now, would I want to be the test case? Not a chance.. :)

Taco Cabana is gross anyway. The TC on Hwy 6 in west H poisoned me about 10 years ago and I haven't been back.

Could be they posted the wrong sign by mistake. If they sell beer/wine they're supposted to post the 'unlicensed firearms possession...' sign. I here some places mix this up.

Speaking to the manager may clear this up.

They actually had both signs...

The 30.06, posted inside and incorrectly per the law...

And the "unlicenced possesion" sign...At the front entrance...

There was no 51% signage at all that I could see...

And yes, the food was not all that good...But you do what your wife says to do, or else...

So I would take food poisoning over "wife's wrath" anyday...

The Taco C here at A&M is great after midnight. The $3 2 soft taco combo w/ drink goes hard.

The Taco Cabanas in San Antonio are similarly posted. The ones I've seen have both the 'Unlicensed ...." and the wrong size 30.06 signs at the front entrance.

I spoke to the manager of the one near me in Helotes and he informed me it was company policy. I also found out from him he is a CHL holder, but wasn't ready to acknowledge the same for his customers.

That is the last time I visited. I used to bring groups there after school functions. Now we meet at other places.

I would imagine if you feel compelled to correct them, you could try to wiggle into the mailstrom from this contact number...

http://www.tacocabana.com/employment/corporate.asp

Its a job line number...

I guess I should've written down the number they had on the improperly posted and sized 30.06 notification...

That number might have gotten some of us, to someone, who doesn't give a rats about what we believe in...

I'd just assume not call and let them know they're dunderheads about the whole issue...

But...If they do correct their stuff...It will show that they do not believe people should be able to protect themselves while patronizing their establishments...

And you hear all to often about armed robberies in restaurants like this where they jack up everyone...

Oh well...
