Austin FFL?
I plan to purchase a few firearms via the internet in the coming months and most of the FFLs in my area charge $40-$50 to do the transfer. Any recommendations on an Austin FFL with lower rates for a CHL holder?
Thanks
Thanks
Tom mooney charges $20 and is very professional. He is in Round Rock. I have transfrered several through him.

Very nice guy!
Re: Austin FFL?
there is a guy in pflugerville that will do transfers for $6, doing my first transfer through him just now and it's going well so far. You can get in touch with him through THR forum and he goes by the name waterhouse, just PM him.

I recommend Heritage Firearms. Transfer fee is $25.00.

Not sure there is one in Leander.
"The Gun Store" in Cedar Park also has pretty good prices on whatever they have in stock, limited as that may be.
non-conformist CHL holder

His name is Andrew Chopin and he operates under A's Shooting Supplies. I've used his services for shipping and receiving. IIRC it cost me $20.00 to ship a handgun last time - Andrew charged $7.00 plus the USPS postage and insurance.biggyin wrote:there is a guy in pflugerville that will do transfers for $6, doing my first transfer through him just now and it's going well so far. Picked up my gun from him about a week ago, great transfer. Was only $6 but he did mention he would be raising that to $10 soon, still a good deal and a pleasure to deal with this gent.
