Houston Gun Show....roll call?
Anybody going to the gun show this weekend at the George R. Brown?
I wouldn't mind meeting up with some of you fellas that I haven't seen in way too long. My roommate wants to get a handgun and learn how to shoot it (never fired a handgun before) so this is step one of acquanting him with handguns).
Lemme know.

I plan to shoot IDPA that day. (Hoping it won't rain.)
My dad is going, so I sent him some money incase he finds some cheap ammo. Sometimes, the ammo dealer that has good prices is at the GRBrown.

There are two key times to buy at gun shows if you want the best deal: when the gun first hits the table right after the show opens, and right before the seller would have to pack it up and take it home on Sunday afternoon.tex45acp wrote:About 3 years ago I went on Saturday and haggled over a gun I wanted but did not buy it. I went back by Sunday just before closing and got the same gun, from the same guy, for a hundred less. I'll be there on Sunday. Saturday is honey-do day anyway.

And I'm staying away because I've already exhausted my Q1-Q2 discretionary firearm spend.KBCraig wrote:There are two key times to buy at gun shows if you want the best deal: when the gun first hits the table right after the show opens, and right before the seller would have to pack it up and take it home on Sunday afternoon.

I must be doing something wrong. It's been years since I've got a Sunday afternoon deal. I just realized that the last time was when the Pasadena shows were held in the building back by the rodeo arena.
The dealers seem as attached to everything on Sunday as any other time.
