Has tons of great reviews on it, but it will definitely be a gun that I really could care less about. I received it extremely dirty and has a lot of abuse on it. The slide kind of looks as if it's rusting a bit, but I talked to Ruger and they said they'll redo the slide for about $70 (which is almost what I paid for the gun). It shoots fine.. and it's ... just.. ugly. I hate it. Though it's fun to shoot those cheap 9mm rounds :D
68Charger - I agree that it is ugly. It's only "an investment" if you think it that it will increase in value.

Wow, quite the Ruger endorsement!
So why on earth would you buy a pistol you don't like?

Probably because it was cheap.

If you pay me $25, I will take it off your hands.

Haha...I've always thought those Rugers were bugly. However, I don't mind my LCP even if it has a horrible trigger. It goes bang when you pull the trigger even after a lot of abuse.

That P95 has been very abused. I own a P89, like the P95 but with an aluminum frame, (and my first pistol) that I simply would never get rid of...it isn't very pretty, that much is true. But that thing eats anything 9mm that I feed it. It doesn't care about ammo brands, or bullet weights, or bullet types, any of that. It just works. Sorry you don't like that P95...maybe it will grow on you.

I have a newer P95 and I understand the ugly and bulky comments 100% and yes the finish isn't great on them but for a night stand or range gun they are just great! They function better then most guns twice their price. It is really hard to beat a P95 in the value to cost ratio. I think I paid around $280 new in box and it has been a great glove box carry and range gun!
Probably the best (if not only) no frills, reliable 9mm on the market for around $300 new.
Edit: If it works and functions fine I think you did great for 75 bucks. Can't ask for more then that for 75 dollars considering how all used guns are going for premium prices the last few years. Give the old girl a new coat of paint for 70 bucks if she is to much of an eye sore.

P95 or any P series is like that old pickup truck that just keeps going and going and when it dies after 200K miles you just drop in a motor, tranny, whatever. Shes a worker not a looker!
Edit: They do have that archaic feel that many of the cold war soviet handguns had. Impersonal but functional.

I would rather have an ugly rusty Ruger that worked than a pretty shiny new ___________ that might not work. Rugers are like WWII Russian T-34 tanks, they are big, ugly, and reliable.

I've had two P-series pistols. I loved them both. One was stolen and the other I traded (and regretted it later). I bet even that one would still function just fine with a good cleaning. If you decide you want to get rid of it, let me know.
