Good low cost guns

I'm looking for low cost (not cheap junk) for stashing around the house and always in the truck/car. They need to be identical in operation, ammo, and magazines. Thinking about Kel-tec P-11s or s&w sigma series (know about the trigger). I'd love to have identical better (?) guns, but the cost of 6 is just prohibitive.
thanks for the input!!!

P11 is my EDC BUG with the 12 round mag
mine was used when I got it, and has been accurate, reliable
I'd never had bought a Keltec, (I had a Grendel I didn't like-different company but *George Kellgren* still) but I got it used from a LEO who wore it daily with the clip thingy instead of a holster, and it was ugly, very worn looking from constant wear and I got a good deal on it and I was surprised it isn't a junk gun....
Not my primary weapon, but decent capacity and price and reliable and accurate enough

Budsgunshop.com and jandgsales.com both have some cheap S&W .38 model 10 revolvers that are old police trade in models. I think they sell for less than $300 or you can pick up a few Makarov pistols for the same price if you like semi-auto pistols.

S&W sigma series offers a decent gun at a good price. I don't own one, but I have shot a friend's Sigma .40 a few times. Nothing fancy and it cannot compare to a high end weapon, but it shoots really well, is very reliable and would serve the purpose of a home or truck gun with no problem at all in my opinion. If you want great fit and finish, a superb trigger, top notch accuracy, and good looks, those cost a lot more. If you just need a reliable defense weapon, there are some good choices out there that won't break your budget. You might even look at used Glocks as there are some good bargains on those if you are willing to hunt around. Good luck with your search.

Ruger P-series guns are great for the cost. They are a little more expensive than the Kel Tec or S&W Model 10 but still pretty inexpensive.

I'd stick with a revolver. As long as the frame size is identical, you can probably go with different manufacturers and still have the same feel.
Or, just strap in on and don't take it off until you go to bed.

Snubby revolvers - Taurus makes a good lower-cost copy of S&W
And buy quality used - check classifieds here, texasguntrader.com, budsgunshop.com, and if you're near Austin or Dallas check used gun selection at GT Distributors (can even find sub-$400 Glocks there)

If you're stashing them around the house why not consider shotguns or rifles? You can pick up a beater pump shotgun for about $200 or less. Same for a MN or lever action .30-30. five or six 12 or 20 gauge pumps loaded with buckshot would give me the warm fuzzes.

I had a P-11 for a good while and just couldn't stand it, i even did several recommended modifications and still hated the darn thing. I didn't care for the way it functioned, especially the trigger. Just my 2 cents but go for something else.

Stoeger Cougar
Stoeger Industries is a subsidiary of Beretta. The Stoeger Cougars are made in Turkey using the same machinery that Beretta used to make the original Cougars. It is every bit the quality of the Beretta. The Stoeger 8000 in 9mm is identical to the Beretta Cougar L Type P (Cougar L slide, lighter barrel and beveled slide, but with a full-length magazine). The Cougar is a great gun for the money. They are available in 9mm, .40S&W, and .45ACP. Academy has the 9mm for $399.
