Fort Worth Gun Show

I've never been to this one and was thinking of checking it out this weekend. If you sell there or have been what are your thoughts on it?

My experience has been, 50% of the tables are guns, 20% gun accs, and the remaining 30% are nuts, beef jerky, jewelry, a guy selling glass cleaner, and other irrelevant vendors.

That being said the gun guys that are there have a wide selection and typically have decent prices. I enjoy the gun show like I enjoy perusing through Lowe's on a rainy afternoon....but then again Lowe's doesn't charge you for the pleasure.

If its the one put on by premier it's a good show. Sure there's vendors there selling food but I usually get hungry after walking around for hours.
It's better than the saxet shows that are put on in san antonio. Great deals to be found. If you plan on buying something the $5 fee is worth it.

$5 PLUS $5 TO PARK = $10

I have to be buying a $100 item at 10% less than the best online price just to break even.
But yeah, I go to browse for things that are out of production anyway, for the most part.

The way I figure it, it costs me $10.00 to got to the movies and I have to leave when they tell me to. At the gun show, I can look at all the shiny new toys (and some that are blued instead of shiny) for as long as I like, leave if I want to, and even come back in if I want. The gun shows in Mesquite are not as big, but I don't have to pay for parking.

Were there this weekend.

The wife and I enjoy walking the isles and looking at what folks are offering.
Occasionally, one will run across a deal too good to pass on ...
