WOW! Congrats on a fine purchase. I look forward to the range report.

edit: Are my eyes deceiving me or does that have an INTERNAL extractor?

Internal, just like my CDP.

It has a lot of "traditional" features.

The new Warrior™ .45 ACP is a civilian version of the pistol Kimber® created to outfit the elite Marine Detachment assigned to U.S. Special Operations Command.

A full-size 1911, the Warrior has a 5-inch match grade barrel with match grade chamber, each Warrior is a blend of traditional and innovative features. 1911 traditionalists will appreciate the short guide rod, internal extractor and lanyard loop that compliment modern advances such as an ambidextrous thumb safety, Tritium night sights, tactical rail, bumped and grooved beavertail grip safety.

The aggressive G10 Tactical Grips are a Kimber first, as is the new forward-slanting wedge shape of the rear sight. Also, the Warrior does not incorporate the Kimber Series II system.

Edges are slightly rounded with the new Service Melt treatment, similar to but less aggressive than the Carry Melt treatment.

Like all Kimber pistols, the Warrior is proudly made in America .

Oh man, that brings tears to my eyes.... It's a thing of beauty.

What's the street price on that bad boy?

Nice purchase. I'm sure range report will be excellent as all kimbers.

txinvestigator, I am curious if the edges where the MSH and frame meet at the bottom have been blended. At the NRA show I think Kimber had two of them and both had very sharp edges at the bottom.

I looked as if the MSH had been rounded a little, but they did not round the bottom of the frame to match. But overall, it looked like a great gun.

Kimber is building my gun now, but from the literature they say the blending is not as aggressive as the CDP.

As soon as it arrives I will let you know.

VERY NICE!! Congrats on the new family member. I too am waiting for a range report.

The grips that come on those feel really good. Played with one at the NRA show. Your a lucky man. At least I presume your a man.

I am very happy with my Kimber. External extractor and no problems yet.
