Found a good deal on a great condition Russian Mosin Nagant. Never had any of the WWII era rifles, so I had to pick one up. This one's a 1932 M91/30 with the hex receiver. Chambered in 7.62x54r.
Beautiful gun! Came with the bayonet, two ammo pouches, tool kit, and oil/solvent can. Got to give it a good clean-up to get the cosmoline off. Can't wait to test this one out!!!
*****UPDATE, FINALLY GOT TO SHOOT IT!*****
What a fine shooting gun! Shot at the indoor range at Spring Gun and Ammo, so no long shooting yet. Pattern was tight and accurate (at short range). Here's a quick video of my step-son shooting it.

It was $125, which is on the low side range for the hex receiver models. The hex receiver is the more desirable model as I understand, because they were built before the mass production came alone to supply the war. Better detail to quality. It also has the solid wood stock as compared to the laminated one.

It looks like NIB. for $125 that is super deal, you can't buy a criket .22 for that price.

Everytime I see someone mentioning the purchase of these guns I can't help but post this link.
And it is appreciated every time you post it. I still refer to it on occasion.
With the Mosin's, be sure you check the firing pin depth prior to shooting. Too deep and it will penetrate the primer, causing serious issues, as these are not gas ported so any blowback is straight against the bolt, which can be serious. Too shallow and it may not strike enough to set off the primers resulting in failure to fire. I checked mine before shooting and it was too deep. Good videos on how to check on Youtube somewhere. Easy to find. use the tool that is in the cleaning kit to check with.

Man, how things change! I bought a late '20s hex receiver M91/30 two years ago for $90, hand select grade. It was beautiful - no marks, matching numbers. I guess everything is going up these days.
She's a beaut though! Enjoy!

Good info lonewolf, thanks. I've watched a lot of the video's on youtube and did catch the firing pin measurement issue. I broke her completely down last night to clean the cosmoline out. Such an easy gun to break down!
Broke the whole bolt down, not to hard at all. Step by step videos on youtube were great for this. Did the firing pin measurement with the special tool, no problem. She's clean, and needs to be fired!!
