Two years ago, I only owned revolvers. I decided that I should purchase a SA to take my CHL qualification. I bought a slightly used Kimber Tactical Pro, and that's when it started!
Now two years later, I bought my 6th 1911 yesterday!
This one is a sweet heart!
Dan Wesson Stainless Steel Valor. Bought it slightly used >100 rounds according to the nice gentleman that sold it to me. I love the smooth slide and lack of rollmarks all over the thing!
Heinie night sights with the flat cocking shoulder! Fit and finish on this compared to my Kimbers and Colts is amazing!
I can't wait to get to the range to test her out. I will report back after doing so!

Thanks for all the nice comments!
I wish I could get out and shoot the darn thing!
I am on-call this week and cant seem to get to the range.
I did have a chance to detail strip it though!
It is amazing the differences in the internal parts when compared to my Kimbers/Colts. Night and day!

The only "1911 Disease" is to not have one. Buying Glocks on the other hand...............................
And I've lusted after one of those DW 1911s since I first laid eyes on one.

Dear Lord, Jesus, Mary and Joseph, that gun is NICE!
I know when I graduate college and get my first job that can pay the bills, I have every intention of getting one of these high end 1911's... I had been looking at an Ed Brown or a Wilson Combat, but this Dan Wesson really strikes my fancy...You're not planning on selling any of those other 1911's in the next few years are ya?

Probably not. That's part of the disease. Once they move in, they don't leave!
