Gun Safe Vendors (Houston area)

#1

Post by Blazen »

Does anybody know or recommend a gun safe vendor? I am looking into them now and so far I have only found one place online. I am sure there are others out other, just ave not had the time I would like to search on them.

I'm looking for something that can be bolted down and its at least 26 in or 31in in width. Also wanting them to deliver and bolt it down for me (my scrawny self can't do this).

Thanks all.

:cheers2:

I heartily recommend SWCI, located at 12757 East Freeway, Houston.

Their website is http://www.safesrus.com/

They are fantastic people to deal with and go to great lengths to take care of their customers.

I'm guessing you're looking for a large one that can accommodate multiple rifles, etc.

Incase its for pistols, I recommend these: http://www.handgunsafe.com
The safe can be mounted to a shelf or another gun safe and can be accessed by touch-finger combination in the dark.

Daddy bought one years ago after my brother shot my sister with a BB gun. (We're from East Texas.) He decided that he drilled gun safety for so many years, but it didn't seem to get through to my brother, so he bought another big safe for the big guns and a small safe for a few handguns. He wanted them out of my brother's reach, yet still quickly accessible. He did his homework, and the gun consumer magazines rated this one as one of the top.

I just ordered one for my handguns, since I'll begin tutoring from the house in a few months. The one on my hip will be safe, but I don't want anyone wandering in my bedroom and playing with my other guns while I'm working with someone else on the other side of the house.

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.

If thats the company and guy that is located near I-10 and Normandy (west of that intersection) I would also agree...

The guy that I got mine from had a nice stairclimbing electric powered dolly that was extremely conciencious about the flooring in our home...Made sure we didn't rip carpet or crack tile etc etc...

He was insured, but glad we didn't have to file any claim for any damage to the structure of our home...I pretty much knew nothing would happen anyway...

But some of that delivery and installation service to me was worth every penny...

The only problem is that when we move in about a year...

How the heck am I getting this thing out of here and loaded up for the move???

And then into the new house???

Ugggg, the pleasant realities of moving...

Steve,

Yes, it's the same one.

Eric (SWCI) will move your safe for a fair price when you need it done.

Top notch fella!

Our move will be down the road a bit (timewise, 16-18 months) but we are making plans and getting it together to do so...

I've kept their info locked up handy for this eventuality...Should go smoothly...

I got mine from Academy on 290 at 34th St. It seemed to be the most safe for the money
