Ruger SR9C
I just got it in yesterday, hopefully I can make it to PSC and then add a review here.
Re: Ruger SR9C
I am a new memeber, lurked a bit but haven't posted until now. I have a SR9c and love it. I have had it out several times now, a total of 500 rounds of mostly UMC FMJ in it. 2 fail to fire, and one stovepipe are the only issues so far. The fail to fire both fired on the second try by partial racking the slide and firing. The stovepipe I think was when my wife was shooting and may have been a grip issue. Otherwise very nice gun. I look forward to your report.

Congratulations. Safe shooting.

My wife loves hers, and I like it too - what little chance I've had to shoot it anyway.

Re: Ruger SR9C
It shot well, had a couple of stovepipes when my wife was shooting, never had any when I shot it. Accuracy is fine too. I do not car for the magazine disconnect or the goofy loaded chamber indicator. Take it easy on me, I'm no video pro.

Re: Ruger SR9C
I just bought mine yesterday. I've had my eye on it for a while and I finally said to heck with it and bought it. It's the all black model, which is the one I wanted but couldn't find in Houston. I bought it at GT Distributors in Austin for a heck of a price, which obviously helped to influence my decision. I broke it down, cleaned it really well and took it to the range where I proceeded to put 200 rounds through it. It functioned amazingly well with the 115gr WWB and 115gr Federal. I had one failure to fire on Winchester round, but other than that I was pleasantly pleased. Now I have something to leave at home for my wife when I travel for work. Love Love Love this pistol!
Re: Ruger SR9C
The magazine safety is very easy to remove if your interested. It also lightens the trigger up a bit and makes it ok to dry fire without a mag in. My full size SR9 is at about 5k rounds, only had a few stove pipe issues in the first 100.
You do this by pushing the little silver circle down on the slide, allowing you to push the striker forward into the position it would hit to set off a primer. Once the striker is set forward you can stick something thing (allen wrench, piece of coat hanger)) into the little hole in the plastic piece on the back of your slide. Once that is depressed you can slide the plastic piece down and off the slide. The striker will come out the back and after it has been removed the magazine disconnect just falls out. Then put it all back together minus the magazine disconnect.
Heres a video:

That should get it down for you if your interested.

And this is an accessories website for the SR9 http://www.gallowayprecision.com/products.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I concur! I removed mine before the first shot was fired.mreavis wrote:The magazine safety is very easy to remove if your interested. Re: Ruger SR9C
You had me excited. I got SR9C confused with LC9. I can't wait til the LC9s come out!
