Gun gear organizer?

I have a bag that I want to start using to hold all my gear: 3 guns, countless magazines, ammo, glasses, ear protection. The problem is, while it's large enough, it's just a open case. There is no compartments or pockets so I would need to add an organizer of some sort. I've googled but haven't found much or maybe I'm not googling the correct thing. Any ideas?

Here a bag similar to mine: Image

I don't know what type of weapons you are carrying, but my "range bag" is a small backpack - open inside only one small pocket area. I have been thinking about one of those "as seen on TV" chameleon purse organizers. Lots of pockets. I keep my weapons (9mm and 380) each in one of the padded zippered canvas soft cases. Also thought about zippered pencil cases for the different magazines as well. I just don't know if that is "acceptable" for a guy though. :???:

I don't know if this will work but you might try looking at various military bags. I think the medic bag may work but they may have a range bag as well. Had a guy in my unit when I was in who had a bag that had mag pouches in various areas grouped together and places to secure pistols, ammo, and cleaning gear as well. Not sure if it was a blackhawk bag or if it was a custom bag.

What about something like this organizer or like this one? Despite the name, this style might also be an option. They come in many more sizes and colors than Container Store offers, as you can see on their website here.

My favorite range bag is one that is actually designed to tote a laptop, files, and all the stuff a road warrior usually carries. The compartments are nicely sized to fit guns in pistol rugs, ammo, hearing protection, cleaning gear, and all the miscellaneous tools and supplies I sometimes need at the range. The brand is Kirkland and I bought it at Costco for about $49.

My shootin' buddy brought his .50 caliber muzzle loader to the range last week. All of his 'possibles' were cleverly stored in a tackle box.

Are you looking for range bags? Maybe something like: http://www.midwayusa.com/browse/BrowseP ... String=655***" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

While these a bit feminine for me, they did give me a great idea. Thanks!

I use this..

Has short vertical pockets on the inside to hold magazines.
Mine has a hard rubber bottom thats very durable. Can attach a shoulder strap.
Very roomy and cheap. Plus it doesn't scream "GUN!" when I carry it to the car.

I can easily fit my pistol pouch, glasses, ammo, earpro etc in there.

I use one of these:
http://www.condoroutdoor.com/136_tactic ... sebag.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The large pockets on the outside are perfect for AR mags, it holds a large quantity of ammo, there is an adjustable divider on the inside that I use to put extra pistols in when I'm taking more than one, it has a pocket that fits glasses perfectly, and it is very sturdy. i think I paid about $40 at a local Command Post army surplus store.

+1 on the Maxpedition Gearslinger series. I just switched from a traditional range bag to the Sitka model (a bit smaller than the Kodiak if I remember). One of the best decisions I ever made.

I use a Fatmax tool bag. Made by Stanley, I believe. Large open area, lots of pockets inside and out.

It really doesn't matter what I use, though. The bigger bag I get, the more pockets I have, the more stuff I find necessary to keep in them. Gets kind of heavy.

Inexpensive and easily located at Walmart and other fine retailers.......

Those are nice, too, but the Kodiak was featured in the movie "Inception", so you get bonus cool points for having that one :coolgleamA: :lol::

Heck yes! We all want to be tacti-kewl!

However, I'm a middle-aged female....there isn't enough gear on the planet to give me enough cool points to make a difference. :lol::
