I happened to be up near Frisco last weekend and stopped by the gun show.
A couple of hours later, I walked out with a Beretta PX4 Storm (full-size 9mm type F) and 4 mags.

Since last weekend, I have run over 300 flawless rounds through this weapon and have some comments:

1) Overall, this PX4 is a pleasure to shoot
2) It is simple to field strip and clean (breakdown takes two seconds and the barrel is chrome-lined)
3) It is extremely accurate (other shooters commented on the single ragged hole in the center of the targets)
4) Perceived recoil and barrel rise are minimal, making rapid follow-up shots easier (being 9mm helps)
5) The adjustable backstraps provided me the opportunity to find an excellent fit

In short, I think this is a keeper. I actually never thought I would own a Beretta, but this was too good of a deal to pass up.

My wife bought a Beretta Px4, F, 9mm a few months ago. She loves that gun.
Her shooting has improved dramatically.
Just shows ...the right tools and practice make a huge difference!
Hoping for the chance to get to shoot it more myself.

I used to own a Type C in .40 S&W. It shot good but the sights were terrible so the thing shot way low for me, and everyone else who shot it. I never got around to swapping the sights but I did trade it off for something that I have had more fun with.

My buddy has one. Its a great gun. It has opened my eyes to beretta and now i am thinking of getting a 92...

Beretta PX4 Storm

I have the same pistol as my carry weapon. I love it, my only complaint is I bought a Glock first (the Glock is fine, but at the time the PX4 was $399, and when I finally got around to getting it, it was $499 ). It's a slightly better feel in my hand than a 92F and the accuracy is great, I just wish I could find a place to practice rapid follow-up shots...

I used to own a 9mm Type F. I sold it because I am not a big fan of slide-mounted controls. However, after having owned different brands and makes of firearms, I realized how much I missed the PX4. All 5 points from the OP are exactly how I feel about that gun.

It is very likely I'll purchase another one in the future. All the good things I continue to hear about it now just makes me want to purchase one sooner.

LT, I'm in Denton, so it is a bit far. I appreciate the offer though.

I didn't intend to come across as not liking the PX4. I didn't like the one I had, but liked the others that I had shot. The PX4 is a wonderful firearm that works well and is extremely reliable.

If your interested in tge 92..check out the Taurus PT92. I know some complain about Tauri's, but Taurus bought the baretta factory in brazil lock, stock and barrel and turns out the exact 92..with the positive exception of a better trigger on the 92 and $100+ cheaper.

I read through your well-written posts, both here and on your hipower site, regarding the Px4. From my perspective, you have reinforced my initial observations about this weapon...and your expert opinion carries some weight with me.

My timing for buying this weapon is humorous to me.....I just read that, in the new movie Inception, DiCaprio uses a Px4 Storm throughout. The family has been wanting to see that, so I will probably pay attention to that little detail when we do.

According to IMFDB.org (very cool site btw, Internet Movies Firearm Database), the main character (Leo) does carry a PX4 Storm. It has a threaded barrel and is chambered in .45 ACP. A few screenshots with suppressor on too.
