Rugers "Coyote Special"

#1

Post by stash »

There is a interesting/funny article on the front page of the Austin Statesman (picture and everything) this morning of the special edition LCP. I hate to admit that I do not know how to bring it over here for all to read, so if someone could do that so everyone can read it that would be nice. Its at http://www.statesman.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

Thanks, Stan

That's pretty amusing to me. Wasn't really interested in one before, but I would like to have one of those. :txflag:

I wasn't interested in a LCP either until I heard about the special edition. I called several stores until I found one that still had them in stock. I bought it as a collector's item, not to shoot. With any luck I will get the governor to sign the box. Then, I hope to live long enough for it to truly become a collector's item. Perry for President! :clapping:

I truly believe this WILL become a collectors item....overnight. I've seen this so many times over my lifetime.

If you can find one within $50-$75 over the MSRP of the plain one, get it and get it soon. Don't shoot it and keep ALL papers with it(bill of sale, box, cc receipt, copy of check...whatever), and just put it away....forget about it if you can(I can't when I do one of those deals! )

The prices will spike IMMEDIATELY as perceived demand by the scalpers always comes into play. Then as time goes by, prices will start to moderate.

The best case scenario, IF Ruger is the one who is doing the special labeling, is that they have a "limited production" run of say, one or 2 thousand of those's. That's usually the case on the lesser expensive 'limited edition' collector's items'.

In any event, I want one, as it's specifically Texas related! :txflag:

That's the best article I've read about the Coyote Special.

You might once, but I bet you can't say it three times quickly.
If I had a gun for every ace I have drawn, I could arm a town the size of Abilene.
