Apparently took place in Dallas. Try not to laugh too hard at the "expert" saying that store owners shouldn't keep guns on premises.

That is the very reason she needed a gun! I was watching FOX news on the death of Steve Irwin. Jack Hannah stated, "animals are just like loaded guns they can just go off at any time." Some people are ignorant concerning guns and protection.
Some "expert"!

Some "expert,"huh? "It could have ended the other way around." he says. Well, I suppose that if she hadn't had the gun there's no chance at all the robber would have shot her, huh? I mean, that NEVER happens, right?

It's quite instructive how long that took.

I would like to put these called "experts" in this clerk's shoes looking down the barrel of the robber's handgun and have him think otherwise.

Personally, I give the Clerk an A+
She found herself suddenly looking down the barrel of a BG's gun, took cover, grabbed her gun, got several good hits, and made a quick retreat when the BG was still moving around.

What a dipstick. Why are these people so bent on only the BG's having guns. Argh!

I guess that why warning shots are not recomended, the BG might get incited or think your incompetent.

expert: It could've been the other way around. The clerk could have been shot and killed.
Well, Duhhhhh... BUT, luckily she had her own gun and used it BEFORE the robber shot her.
The term "expert" is extremely over used these days.

Nothing wrong with warning shots...as long as they're all COM.

So why didn't the would-be robber shoot back? Seems to me, if I am robbing someone at gunpoint and they shoot me, I would at least want to take them with me? Seems kinda odd that he just stood there and waited to die

Syntax360. After working w/ people as long as I have, it is my observation that there are a few that have no regard for life at all, including their own. They will try to tack others w/ them. Most though when hurt badly will suddenly become the whipped dog in the fight & try to get away. At the time there is not a consious thought of "I am going to die so I will not die alone." Most of the time those that live after even critical wounding have as their thought something like, "I can't believe you shot me."
They really cant believe the victim is fighting back. They have bullied & been run away from for so long, It amazes them that some one would stand up to them & fight back. If they thought the chosen victim would fight back they would have chosen a different one.
