just be careful. gun buying can get out of hand fast. mine started out as a colt double eagle and a single shot shotgun.

Fine collection there!
Only thing I see missing is a good bird gun. If the Mossie had a longer barrel, you would be set!
Thruth is, I picked up a great Mossberg at the local pawn shop, and it shot so well at the last Skeet shoot, I could have sold it for more than I paid.
.270m that is a fantastic all-around rifle for TX game. I wish I had my father's Win 270 that my sister took...doh!

Sounds like a nice problem to have.

bburgi:

Nice collection. It may be small but it appears as if most of the major bases are covered.

Reminder to self. Need a shotgun.

Saw a poster at Jim Pruett's Guns and Ammo once that said something like: "Dear God, When I Die, Please Don't Let My Wife Sell My Guns For What I Told Her I Paid For Them"

"If my wife asks... tell her I got it on eBay for $50!"

I think thats really a great little collection. You have all the major points covered in my opinion.

My suggestion is to look at some sort of secure storage so your collection does not ever become somebody elses.

You too huh?

Once she saw this "scope" thingy on the AR...And I had to think fast...

Whew! I almost messed up...

Good thing she doesn't really know the combo to the safe...All sorts of stuff could fall out of there...Know what I mean?

bburgi wrote:\We live in a very small, 2nd floor apt right now, so a safe is not a viable option at this point.

A cheap $89 safe from academy/wal-mart screwed into the studs is an option for upstairs apartment living. I lived in a second floor apartment for years and you never know when the maintenance man or porter will end up in your living space! I was in the gym one night in my apartment, which was attached to the lease office. Someone forgot to close the door that connected the two and I noticed a ring of everyone's apartment keys hanging out in the open for anyone to take! Scary when you think about who might have access to your goods. Anything locked can help keep people honest.
