do you carry with a round in the chamber? cocked and locked ? (i'm reluctant to do this because of lack of grip safety)

half cocked?

normally i carry a fullsize 1911 or an S&W J frame...but sometimes, i need the really small size of the MUSTANG.

your comments are appreciated.

I had one and felt the same thing you are about the safety of carrying it at first. A good leather pocket holster made specifically for the Mustang will do the trick. Just remember that the best safety the gun has is the one between your ears. ;-)

fwiw, I carried mine cocked and locked in a leather Alessi pocket holster and never had any reservations about it's safety.

HighVelocity said it right. I carry my Mustang cocked & locked in a proper holster that covers the trigger guard and also the thumb safety so it won't get snicked-off by accident. I feel totally safe carrying this way and I have never had a problem.

My Mustang Pocketlite is my deep cover gun. I carry it in Condition One. My safety is pretty stiff, so it's never been puched of unintentionally.

I usually have it in a SmartCarry. No worries.
