One-gun-a-month limits hurt law-abiding citizens, not criminals.........DUH.

"Virginia finally is poised to repeal its unusual law that prohibits law-abiding citizens from buying more than one gun per month. It's about time, because the red tape has not had the desired effect in lowering crime.
There is no academic research by criminologists or economists that shows that one-gun-a-month regulations reduce crime in either the states that pass them or their neighbors.
The laws have merely inconvenienced honest Americans who want to buy guns."

True story:
When my girlfriend (now Mrs. Chemist) moved across country to be with me in California they had a "One gun a month law".
I got her involved in recreational shooting and she started buying guns regularly.
At one point I looked at her and said "You do know that the one gun a month law is a maximum not a minimum. Right?"

I'm looking forward to this law being repealed if for no other reason than to watch Mayor Bloomberg throw a fit about how all these guns from Virginia are now going to be flooding NYC.

This is similar to one of my selfish reasons for wanting the Second Amendment to be incorporated--Mayor Daley's reaction to a loss in McDonald will be epic when he learns that he will have to allow the serfs to own guns for self-defense.

He will pull the same garbage DC did and make onerous rules requiring years of court actions to overturn.
