Taurus 1911's ? anyone seen any in Houston, Gulf Coast area?

I've been reading about these on the 1911 boards out here & was
just wondering if there had been any sightings along the upper
Gulf Coast. I went to a gunshow 2 weeks ago & didn't see any
at all there. The only place I've even remotely heard of that may
have gotten some down here is Collector Firearms; they were
showing them on their website. Kinda makes you wonder if
there's some kind of conspiracy :???: going on down here.
Most of the comments I've seen are very good on these guns & I'll
admit there's one i've got my eye on, even though it'll be a while
before I can do anything; the one I'm talking about is the Taurus
version of a CCO { commander slide\ officer Frame }. I had 1 of these
a while back in the Colt version & it was the BEST 1911 type gun
that I ever owned.

I handled one at a recent gun show. If the PT1911 shoots as good as it looks and holds up to hard use, all the other 1911 manufacturers are in trouble.
I was very impressed with fit, finish, feel of materials and overall quality apearence. I plan to buy the first stainless one I see.
I am scared of empty guns and keep mine loaded at all times. The family knows the guns are loaded and treats them with respect. Loaded guns cause few accidents; empty guns kill people every year. -Elmer Keith. 1961

I saw one at the G.R. Brown show in Houston a week or so ago.

It was on one of the "big dealers" tables, - Bachmans, I think.

It was a good looking gun, with Heine "straight eight" sights and everything else you've read about on it.

List is supposed to be around $600.00 They were selling this particular one - Blue - for $489.00.
