Inexpensive flashlight with Cree LED

Was picking up a bunch of household items at Costco the other day and wandered down the "hardware" aisle. Found a twin-pack of little "tactical" flashlights for $20. I usually laugh at these as they usually are just some cheap imported sorry attempt at a true "tactical" light. But the name "Cree" jumped out at me. Though these flashlights are of relatively thin aluminum and made in China, they sport Cree XPC LED 160 lumen bulbs. I'm not much on the flashlight technology, but I know the name Cree so thought I'd give it a try.

These lights are amazingly bright for $10 each. Easily brighter than my Coast lights from Home Depot and rival my Crossfire 6P LED mounted on my AR-15.

Anyway, thought some others might benefit from this. I gave one to my wife to carry in her purse and I put another in my my "bail out" bag, which I got for free for ordering some pants from LAPoliceGear.com and am now filling with various odds and ends I might need if the feces hits the fan.

Oh yeah, that might be helpful, huh?

brand is "TechLite Lumen Master" (so you can see why I was skeptical at first :smilelol5: )

it's in a big blister pack with red portion at top with white letters saying "high-intensity tactical LED"

Item # 406343

That's a good review he gives of them. I'll have to try reseting the tail button like that. I also found the three click function annoying.

Hey Joe, I need to go to Costco to return a shirt you want me to pick you up a pack. Costco is one of those that may have something one day and it's gone the next time you go in... never to return.

I picked up that twin pack last year, and aside from the three click, I love them! Great buy for $20!

The Costco in Houston (inside the loop) has the 2-pack for $15 after instant rebate until Easter.

They're not going to replace my Sure-Fire lights but they look good to toss in the car and purse/murse/backpack.

Hey, neighbor! I'm in Lewisville too but I don't recall
you posting until this thread.

I don't have a Costco card and would like you to pick me
up a pair of those lights. I will PM you shortly.

I read all the time, just don't post much. There's enough people on here now that someone will say what I would've anyway.

Your PM replied to.

Thanks for the good review. I really believe sometimes you need to see your flashlight with Cree LED. You really chose the best flashlight.

picked up a 2-pack (with batteries) of a brand name "Serengeti" at Sam's today for $14.97. they're okay for the price. pretty bright, but not the cleanest beam. but at that price, i think i got better than i expected.
