I've never really shot a stock factory 1911, and the Raptor and Warrior are both upgraded from the normal 1911 a bit so I can't really give a good comparison there. Great feel to them though, and both shoot like a champ. I'm not really sure which one shoots better, but it seemed to be whichever one my brother was holding at the time.

We also put 100 rounds of .357 Sig, and 200 rounds of .40 through my mom's 229. She loves it. The .357 is a little too snappy for her, and she had trouble grouping well with it. We changed out the barrels and she really hit a home run with the .40. She's a small framed person, but had no trouble with the recoil. We plan to put a few hundred more rounds through it with her before she's really comfortable carrying it, but she's very happy in general. I'm glad she's got her .380 and .38, but now, I feel a little better knowing she's got a little more punch available if needed.
All in all, a very good range day. Thanks to all you 1911 guys for your input, all opinions were much appreciated.
And Cyphur, just for you since you were asking about the 229 earlier. The 229 with either barrel was a great shooter. It seems to be pretty hard to go wrong buying a Sig. I think you'd be pleased if you went with the 229. My brother tried it in his department issue off duty holster, an OWB Safariland open top pancake Model 528. It printed a little with just a T-shirt, but he put an open, untucked button down shirt over it and all was well, concealed rather easily. Much more than his department issue P220 does!
